New Winter 2012 Patterns!

Windspinner-PatternThey’re here, they’re here! I’m so excited to show you 4 new patterns! Rubix Too, Leaflet, Multiplication, and Windspinner! I love these patterns so much, and I can’t wait for you to make your own versions (more on that in a minute). This time around, I decided to go with a single, flat image of the quilt on the pattern covers to help with seeing the whole quilt at once. What this means is, I still have lots and lots of pictures of the actual quilts to show you! Coming up this week, I will show you each quilt in a few colorways, and tell you more about them. For now, though, I have Christmas gifts to make, and you have patterns to look at. (wink, wink)

Leaflet-Pattern

With these patterns, I tried to answer the top 3 requests I have received: size options, beginner friendly quilts, and precut compatibility.  Windspinner is made with 2½” strips, while Rubix Too uses 5″ squares–eliminating a cutting step and going together faster than the original Russian Rubix. Multiplication is a super quick and easy baby quilt, that is great for all skill levels, and Leaflet makes quick work of a twin size quilt.

Rubix-Too-Pattern-FinalIn other exciting news, if you’ve made the original Russian Rubix, you’ll be thrilled to know that I will soon have acrylic templates in my shop for both the Russian Rubix and Rubix too, as well as kits of precut octagons! I’ll keep you posted on these–but I’m so excited!

Multiplication-Pattern

Those of you who attended fall quilt market, will recognize these quilts from the Moda, Free Spirit, and Riley Blake booths. I got a lot of great comments–and I hope you love them too! I’m excited to show you more pictures and color options.

They’re listed in my shop already in both paper and PDF versions. If you’d like to place a wholesale order, contact me via email, or contact your United Notions, Brewer, Petersen-Arne, or Checker rep.

Which is your favorite? Are you as excited about the templates or precut octagons as I am??

xoxo

April

PS: I’m thinking I’ll have a drawing in January where you can link up pictures of your finished projects made from Prairie Grass Patterns to enter. The prizes will be pretty great, so get sewing! I can’t wait!

PPS: Remember that block of the month I announced over at the Moda Cutting Table back in September? That’s coming in January too. It’s going to be a fun year. Mwa!

  1. So, so beautiful! These lovely things reflect soooo much work, and though you make it look so easy to the rest of us, I know how much heart and soul you put into every single thing you do. It shows, believe me. I hope you can rest a bit now…for a minute or two. I love you so much.

  2. These are beautiful! How fun that you changed up the cover style on these ones. I’m excited to see some actual quilts because the final products are always amazing! YAY for new patterns!

  3. I’m so exciting to see all the new patterns. My favorite is Rubix too. I can’t wait to see the templates for this one. I hope you get to have some downtime soon.
